Two men in their 40s died in a multi-vehicle crash on the A13 near Rainham. Another man was seriously injured.

Emergency crews, including paramedics and police, responded quickly to the scene. Sadly, they could not save the men; both men died there.
One man was a passenger in a car, and the other man drove a different car. Both cars were involved in the crash, and a third man was badly hurt.
This injured man, also in his 40s, was a driver. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital with injuries that will change his life, though police say they are not life-threatening.
The crash, involving multiple vehicles, happened near Rainham. Police received a call about it around 4:25 PM on February 14.

The police closed the A13 for almost 20 hours to investigate the crash and clear the road. It reopened today at noon.
