A three-vehicle collision shut down the A303 eastbound between Wincanton and Bourton. Minor injuries reported, detour in place.

The road shut down because of some debris. A contractor helped with cleanup efforts and worked on the vehicle recovery.
Traffic should get back to normal soon. National Highways thinks it should be between 3:45 and 4 p.m., according to their traffic info.
Police said they got a call about a crash involving three vehicles. This happened on the eastbound A303 in Wincanton around noon.
The road closed because of the emergency and the need to clear the debris. National Highways issued a statement, too.
The A303 eastbound is currently closed between the A371 (Wincanton) and the B3081 near Bourton. The police and ambulance crews are handling the scene.
Drivers are advised to follow a detour: leave the A303 at Wincanton, take the 3rd exit at the island onto the B3081, follow the B3081 for about 5 km, then rejoin the A303 eastbound.
