Two vehicle crash on A417 near Cirencester causing delays. Emergency services on scene. Road partially blocked; expect delays.

No one seems to have gotten hurt, but one lane of the road is still closed, causing some traffic delays. The police got the call around 10:50 AM.
Firefighters also went to help, arriving around 11:47 AM. A fire engine came from Cirencester, while another arrived from Cheltenham. They disconnected an electric car’s battery and finished around 12:31 PM.
An eyewitness described the crash, saying it involved a car and a truck. The car looked totaled and its front wheel was broken. The truck also had damage; this occurred north of the Cirencester junction.
The AA and Google reported the crash, too, noting it was near the Travelodge. The AA said the road was blocked going eastbound, and traffic was backed up from Daglingworth.
A photo showed long lines of cars backed up heading to Swindon, and the photo was taken around 11:26 AM. People were stuck in place, with one driver saying it was “totally stationary.”
Around 11:30 AM, police sped by heading northbound on the A417. Then, a support vehicle went southbound, using a cleared path between lanes, and a police van followed it shortly.
Around noon, a fire engine sped down the road. At 12:17 PM, a driver reported some movement, saying they were moving very slowly. National Highways estimates a full clear by 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM.
