The A646 Halifax Road closes for ten days starting February 14th due to urgent sewer repairs by Yorkshire Water.

Well, there’s a new issue. Another damaged sewer section needs fixing. It’s a bit further up the road, toward Todmorden. The road will be mostly closed.
Closure starts February 14 at 8 PM and ends February 24 at 6 AM. For three days, they’ll work around the clock. After that, work is from 8 AM to 5 PM.
They chose this time because of school holidays. Yorkshire Water needs to fix the sewer and they want to reinforce it for better resilience.
This lining work happens during usual work hours. The road closure keeps everyone safe.
Yorkshire Water understands this is disruptive. They want to prevent future problems and apologize for the trouble caused by the closures.
Calderdale Council will put up diversion signs. They will let people know businesses are still open, which helps people find their way around.
