Long term abandoned vehicles in Romford car park prompts council intervention after resident reports.

Jane Keane, a local councillor, looked into it and shared the concerns with First Port. First Port manages the property for the housing association there.
Jane contacted First Port in August. Even so, the problem stayed until February 4, when Havering Council’s team stepped in.
Jane praised the concerned resident and credited their persistence. They stopped bad behavior on Marwell Close.
Havering Council said they knew about the issue. Their team issued a notice about planning rules, and the owner must answer the council’s questions. This helps decide what to do next.
Police went to Marwell Close on February 4 for something else. They said the cars were for the council to handle.
Jane said three cars awaited removal early February. The truck and other cars were already gone.
First Port is looking into the situation. They want to prevent this from happening again.
