RNLI volunteers Moss and Eli, who met in 2015, celebrate the arrival of their second child, Juniper, strengthening their bond.

Moss and Eli met when they joined Aberystwyth RNLI. Eli grew up in Aberystwyth and joined the crew during school for an award. Moss moved there for university, loved Aberystwyth, and stayed.
They spent time together during training and became close, starting to date in April 2016. The couple had a son, Fergus, in the year 2021.
Covid delayed their wedding, which finally took place in March 2023. They welcomed Juniper on February 1, 2025. Eli stopped volunteering before Gus was born but hopes to rejoin after Juniper gets older. Moss still volunteers on the lifeboat.
Moss stated that the RNLI changed his life and that he never expected to meet his wife there. He said they are very happy as a family now and that he will spend Valentine’s Day with them while other volunteers answer any calls for help.
Moss said he is grateful for volunteering because it gave him valuable experiences. Mostly, he is thankful he met his wife and started a family, creating a beautiful family together.
