Mark Threlfall, 62, received a fifteen-month sentence for possessing over 60,000 child abuse images and videos.

His crimes were discovered via a police probe led by the National Crime Agency, leading officers to his address on Blackburn Road. He had a large quantity of illegal images: over 2,700 were Category A, the worst, while he had 3,000 Category B pictures and over 52,000 Category C images.
Some Category A videos showed abuse of children as young as six. Police seized 43 devices from his home; twenty-nine had indecent images or were locked. The police searched just five devices closely, believing these were his main devices.
