Rob Russell gave his badge collection away. He is a Stanley fan and ex-OASST chair. He handed them to Peter Leatham and Peter Warburton, the current OASST leaders, at their shop in the Accrington Arndale.

The collection has over 60 badges. One badge dates back to 1921. Three badges are from the late 50s and early 60s. A rare badge might be from 1917, a fair said that.

The OASST got the badges at their shop in the Arndale. They will add them to their heritage collection. There is also a badge for the Liverpool FA Cup game. Plus, three badges from the 2003-04 FA Cup run exist, when Stanley beat Bournemouth and Huddersfield.

The OASST wants to save the club’s history. They are gathering many mementos. They already have a great display, featuring Accrington Stanley shirts, located in their Arndale shop.

Peter Leatham spoke about protecting the club’s heritage, saying they’ve collected memorabilia for years. Peter Warburton also wants to showcase these items. They want to build a heritage center that would display these items.

Rob Russell said the badges bring back memories. He thinks the Supporters Trust is doing something important. The badges will stay with the club, ensuring future generations will enjoy them.

Fans with memorabilia can donate it to become part of the collection. Visit the shop in the Arndale.
