Acorn Stairlifts donated almost £12,700 to Sue Ryder. The Oxenhope hospice greatly appreciates this gift that they raised during the past year.

Since 2012, Acorn Stairlifts supports Manorlands hospice. The company has raised £145,000 in total for them, and this huge sum makes a real difference.

In 2024, they did raffles and bake sales. Staff also enjoyed dress down days, and these activities supported the fundraising. They had a charity bar at the garden party, and Christmas dinner proceeds went to charity. The canteen served dinners for three days.

Employees also helped at Manorlands’ own events and participated in the hospice’s fundraisers, which boosted the total raised even more.

Vickey Williamson manages UK sales for Acorn Stairlifts. The company is based in Steeton, and staff love supporting Manorlands.

Manorlands offers great care in the hospice. They also help throughout the local area, and Vickey encourages everyone to help.

Andrew Wood accepted a cheque for Manorlands. He manages community fundraising for them, and they are very thankful for the donation. Andrew says they feel very grateful since Acorn Stairlifts has supported them since 2012. The team raised an incredible amount of money.

They hope to reach £150,000 soon, and Manorlands looks forward to working together. They plan more events in the coming year.

Manorlands’ next event is a run and walk, the Keighley 10k and 5k. It will be on Mother’s Day, March 30th. The routes start and end at Victoria Park, going along the canal towpath. Runners will pass the East Riddlesden Hall grounds, and the 10k includes Keighley Golf Club too.

Last year’s run raised around £35,000 for them. Manorlands supports families and patients who have life-limiting illnesses, covering Craven, Airedale and Wharfedale. They also support parts of Bradford.
