Milo, a two-year-old Akita, seeks an experienced, adult-only home. He needs socialization and an owner familiar with Akitas.

Milo gets along with other dogs, but they do need to meet first at the center. He needs a home without cats and only adults, and he has no health issues that they know.
Milo is learning to walk nicely on a leash. He knows his name well, and food motivates him. The center is looking for a special person to adopt him.
The ideal person knows the Akita breed well. They might have cared for a dog with a bad start because Milo acts like a puppy sometimes. He had a very restricted first year.
He stayed in a crate without seeing the world. Because of that, he lacked socialization, but volunteers take Milo on trips twice each week.
These trips help him socialize better. Milo does great during pack walks with other dogs, and he likes his main handler a lot. Milo knows commands like sit and paw.
He’s a smart dog and learns quickly with treats. Training classes would really help him. The center says Milo needs active owners, and people with Malinois experience are ideal.
He isn’t good for first-time dog owners. Milo needs to explore the outside world more, however the rescue shelter can only show him so much. They want to find Milo a home soon.
