Aldi staff & shoppers in the North East, UK, raise £11M for Teenage Cancer Trust, supporting young cancer patients.

One person got treatment in Newcastle. They started chemo in early 2020, but the pandemic complicated things a lot. Their mom couldn’t always be there, but a youth coordinator from the Trust helped. She gave support like a parent would, checking on them and being really useful. A nurse specialist was also amazing, seeing them at their worst.
Aldi’s people care a lot and support Teenage Cancer Trust greatly. They reached a huge goal thanks to everyone’s help. The team in the North East did great work, and customers showed amazing kindness too.
The Trust helps young cancer patients a lot, and Aldi is glad to keep providing support. The Trust is thankful for the support they get and are incredibly grateful to Aldi. Shoppers and staff raised £11 million.
Their giving makes a big difference, and this support of young people is wonderful. They thanked Aldi’s people and the shoppers. The Trust is the only UK charity this specialized, giving nursing care to young people with cancer.
In April 2024, Aldi reached a big goal early, hitting £10 million for the Trust. Now, they want to raise £15 million, planning to achieve that by the end of 2027.
