Alicante limits nightlife in noise zones due to tourist complaints. Bars, clubs face earlier closures and terrace cuts.

The zones will include parts of the Old Town. They also include the Centre, around Calle Castaños. Calle Castaños is known for its active nightlife. Bars must close earlier within these areas. Restaurants and clubs must also comply.
The zones will cut terrace areas in half. New terrace applications are paused. New licenses are off for places in the ZAS. This includes bars, cafes, and bingo halls. Restaurants and karaoke spots are on hold, too.

Police will run a special check. They will check closing times are followed. They will also check bar terraces. Police will clear crowds near these places. Businesses must close by 1 AM on specific nights. These nights are Fridays and Saturdays. Holiday eves also apply. They must close by 12:30 AM other nights.
Nightclubs close by 3 AM on weekends. This means Fridays and Saturdays too. They shut by 1 AM the rest of the week. Longer hours are okay during special times.
