Hey, something awful happened. There was a car crash Sunday night. It involved a silver Toyota and two kids. This happened on Ransdale Road, near Ramsey Street. The road is between Manchester Road and Little Horton Lane.

A ten-year-old girl went to the hospital. Sadly, she died Monday morning from her injuries. Her name was Humaira Bibi Khan. Her inquest will start Thursday morning. A sixteen-year-old girl also went to the hospital; her injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

The girls are related, I think. They were walking home after visiting family. The driver was a thirty-five-year-old man. Police arrested him and suspect dangerous driving caused the death. They questioned him and released him on bail.

Humaira went to All Saints Primary School. Her headteacher, Kathryn Shaw, is very sad. She spoke about Humaira on behalf of the school, saying everyone is deeply saddened by this.

Humaira was bubbly and well-liked at school. Friends and staff will miss her very much. The school is helping everyone deal with this loss, and they send love and prayers to her family.

People are sharing tributes to Humaira online. The police are still investigating the crash. They ask witnesses to contact West Yorkshire Police by calling 101 and mentioning log number 1285 from February 9.
