Thieves targeted Pershore allotments, stealing equipment and setting fire to a shed. Police are investigating.

Thieves stole a generator, a hedge trimmer, lawn mowers, and rotavators. Strimmers vanished, and solar panels went missing, having been removed from a shed roof. Bad news – they even set fire to a shed after paper inside caught fire.
To gain entry, they broke through a hedge. The burglars damaged locks to get into sheds. Police took the damaged locks for analysis, hoping to find fingerprints on them to help catch the culprits.
Police talked to affected residents, offering support. Rural crime officers had visited the site before and previously gave relevant security advice there. They’re talking to the local council about extra security.
Worcester added security to an allotment last year after experiencing repeat thefts plus vandalism. They added a tall fence and new gates to stop criminals from getting in.
Police gave allotment users special Smart Water, which can help trace stolen items back to owners. This might prevent future thefts in Pershore. Did you see anything suspicious around then?
