Alpacas from Butterwick Alpaca Retreat brought joy to Mulberry Court residents in York on February 20, offering therapeutic benefits.

Rachael Moss, the manager, shared some thoughts. She said the residents enjoyed the unusual visit. Bringing the farm to them was a lot of fun because some residents can’t go on many trips.
They are always looking for new things to do. Animals can really help people feel good, showing that animals are therapeutic.
Bridget, a resident, felt very happy because she loved farm animals when she was a child. She said the day was very enjoyable, noting it was wonderful the animals could roam freely.
