Clackmannanshire Licensing Board revoked Marypupsa Dishanth’s licence due to falsified training records at the Day-Today store.

Council officers visited the Day-Today on Stirling Street. They found evidence of falsified training documents, which the board members reviewed.
A staff member’s training record seemed suspicious. It said they trained on September 10, 2024, yet they didn’t recall the training on September 12, 2024. Marypupsa Dishanth signed the document, but officers thought it appeared falsified.
The board then considered action against her license and chose to revoke it. The board noted the Day-Today store seemed closed and Marypupsa Dishanth didn’t attend the meeting.
Councillor Kenny Earle spoke about the evidence and moved to revoke the license that day. Councillor Fiona Law seconded the motion. Fiona Law questioned her fitness as a license holder, citing the falsified documents as a concern that could impact safe alcohol sales.
Council officers had checked Day-Today before after her husband sold alcohol illegally to a 14-year-old girl. Jokorasa Dishanth appeared before the board in November because he violated the Licensing Act of Scotland 2004 by selling Four Loko without checking ID.
He was fined £900 with a £40 surcharge at Alloa Sheriff Court in May 2024. He also failed to present his license in court and kept selling alcohol anyway, even while his license had been suspended.
Day-Today’s fee payment was also an issue. The annual fee was paid late and in 2022, they had no record of payment. The board revoked Day-Today’s license in November 2024.
Marypupsa Dishanth’s license was revoked February 18.
