Unit 8 Penn Street Works eyes late licence for corporate events, live music, and alcohol sales until 3 AM on weekends.

The industrial unit will still have a bar. They’ll use the smaller room for that. There’s also storage, toilets, and an office. The main room will be a corporate event space.
They want to use the distillery history. This could make it interesting for events. They won’t sell alcohol to take away; the bar will only serve event guests.
They want to open until almost midnight on weekdays. Friday and Saturday they could stay open until 3 AM. Sundays they will close again before midnight, pending approval, of course.
They also want permission for alcohol sales, plus live music and late-night fun. The existing license lets them open earlier and close earlier.
They plan to install safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and smoke detectors. They will assess safety carefully and will keep emergency exits clear.
They will add soundproofing for live entertainment and will monitor sound levels at events. They will post quiet signs at entrances and exits, and capacity will be managed.
Also, they will light the outside well. CCTV will be used inside and outside. Security will be hired for big events. Female security will be present too, and they’ll collect attendee information.
