Roadworks on the B6403 High Dike in Ancaster will start next week, costing £1 million to improve the road surface.

It’s happening on the B6403 High Dike, including the locations of Ancaster and Wilsford. They will work from the A153 junction to Heath Lane. The project starts March 11 and ends April 8.
A council member, Richard Davies, mentioned the road work. These improvements should help the B6403 road, and more projects are coming in the future. These future works will cost £2.5 million.
The road closes during certain hours. Daytime closures are from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, while night work happens from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM. Weekend work won’t happen, however, two night shifts are possible.
A detour is planned during the closures. It involves the A153, A15, A52, and B6403. The team will replace the worn road surface.
According to Davies, the new surface improves driving and also makes the road last much longer. He is grateful for everyone’s patience and hopes people like the work being completed.
