Designs revealed for Andover’s new theatre, set to replace The Lights; public viewing follows.

The building will fit Andover’s historic look while offering modern facilities inside. Residents can enjoy activities and events there, and they can also meet friends for coffee. TVBC worked with BFF architects recently to develop this multi-purpose theatre idea, which will be located at the Chantry Centre entrance.
The theatre will become The Lights’ new home, as the current location is now too small. It will have a modern auditorium with multiple levels, as well as a performance space. Studios, meeting rooms, and a cafe are also planned for the new venue.
One entrance will face the High Street, and another will face Town Mills Riverside Park. This park will offer outdoor space. The new location is in the town’s heart, close to shops and the car park.
BFF and TVBC staff will present designs and talk to users of the theatre, audiences, and businesses. Designs will be on thinkandovertowncentre.co.uk later, and they will also be at The Lights. See them at the old O2 unit in the Chantry Centre.
The council will submit a building application soon after sharing these designs with the public.
