A 59 year old cyclist died after a crash on Bleara Road in Earby. Family remember husband, dad, grandad as a great person.

Police officers are supporting his family now. His family shared some words about him. They said Tony was a great person, a husband, dad, grandad, as well as a brother, uncle, and friend. People loved him very much, and he always made people laugh.
Tony enjoyed cycling very much and loved cycling challenges. He loved traveling the world with his wife. They shared joy with their grandkids. He had an engineering background, having worked at Rolls Royce and Pendle Training.
He always fixed things for family and shared his knowledge with everyone. People said Tony was a true gentleman. Tony grew up in Wigan and then moved to Pendle, where he met his wife. His death was very sudden, leaving his family heartbroken.
Police arrested three people, aged 34, 45, and 16. They are suspected of dangerous driving but were released while police investigate. A woman, 29 years old, went to the hospital with minor injuries.
The police interviewed the woman. Sergeant Phil Baxendale spoke about it, sending thoughts to Tony’s family. He asks for any information about the crash, stating that even small details matter. Any videos from Bleara Road would be helpful.
