Cornhill One Ltd proposes building eight apartments, reducing height to minimize impact in Bridgwater town centre.

He considered two options for the site’s use. One was a large house with 24 bedrooms. He also thought about building eight apartments, and the apartment block plan is what he submitted. He wants to knock down part of the building’s back and build a brand-new residential structure.
The building’s proposed height got reduced. This minimizes effects on the surrounding areas.
The front of 27-28 Cornhill is also for sale, having a £370,000 guide price right now. Ladbrokes and H&T Pawnbrokers are currently occupying the building. It also holds office and storage spaces. The building went up in 1965.
The application includes a statement about hope. The development could boost Bridgwater Town Centre, and even though the project is not very big, it could help.
The Celebration Mile project is underway nearby on Clare Street and Angel Crescent. This is a major regeneration project for the town centre. It received some of £9 million from the Bridgwater Town Deal, and Somerset Council believes it is key to town improvements.
