Stuart Anderson went to court on February 10. He faced sentencing for two charges in Kilmarnock. Anderson is 29 and lives on Glasgow Street.

He admitted to actions on November 8 last year at a home in Irvine, where he shouted and swore aggressively, and made violent threats.

Anderson and a woman dated for two years. The woman then wanted to break up, packing his things and leaving them in the kitchen. Anderson came home at 10 p.m. and asked why his stuff was bagged.

The woman said she wanted to end things, and Anderson started shouting loudly. She asked him to leave right away. He went outside, still yelling threats, saying he would “tan your windows” and “Your car will be getting done tonight.”

He shouted he would torch her house and her car. Police received the report, and Anderson was arrested and charged promptly. He also broke his bail terms on November 10 by texting her, against the rules, with the message that she didn’t give him all his clothes.

Police were contacted again, and a warrant went out for his arrest. His lawyer, Brian Holliman, spoke in court and said both want to date again.

Sheriff Murdoch Mactaggart delayed sentencing to allow assessment for the Caledonian Men’s Programme, which helps men convicted of abuse and includes support for partners and kids. The program aims to change behavior.
