Armed police in Lewisham confront a man reportedly waving a knife. High Street is closed; traffic disrupted.

It started around 10:45 this morning. Armed police went to Lewisham High Street. People reported a disturbance there.
Someone saw a man waving a knife. He was yelling at people in the street. He was hanging out of a window. Sometimes he wore a dressing gown, other times he had no shirt.
Police put up cordons near HSBC and Subway. Armed officers pointed guns toward the window. They aimed from inside the HSBC building.
Officers are talking to a man inside. They are checking if anyone else is there.
Lewisham High Street is closed right now. Traffic is backing up toward Lee High Road. Congestion reaches half a mile back. This affects Molesworth Street too.
The police gave a statement about it. They said they got a call about a disturbance. Officers, ambulance, and fire service are all there. They are still talking to the man. They want to know if anyone else is inside. The road will stay closed for now.
