The police are calling it a “disturbance” and have closed off the area. This includes HSBC, Barclays, and Subway shops, with ambulances and fire trucks also present just in case they are needed.

Lewisham High Street is closed, resulting in traffic buildup between Lee High Road and Belmont Hill, also blocking Rennell Street (A2211). Traffic extends half a mile down Lee High Road, near Molesworth Street.
