A 29 year old man was arrested in connection to a murder after a man was found dead in Bath on Tuesday.
A twenty-nine-year-old man got arrested as part of a murder investigation, which continues.
Officers haven’t formally ID’d the dead man, but they found his family and told them about the situation on Wednesday.
Detective Inspector Neil Meade, who works with the Major Crime Investigation Team, spoke about it. He said they’re thinking of the man’s family, as it’s a tough time for them.
Family liaison officers will help the family and give them updates as the investigation moves forward. They arrested someone near Oxford who’s being questioned.
Meade mentioned the scene stays active and will remain so for a bit as they need to investigate more. He said there’s likely no extra risk and normal people are probably safe.
Meade understands this news is a surprise, but he told people not to worry. Detectives are on the case and do not think the public is at risk.
They are working at the Kelston View location, and the scene will stay in place for a few days. The local team will patrol more often, and officers will be around. They hope to address any worries.
