Three arrested in connection to a 2002 disappearance released on bail as police continue their investigation.
Robert Scott Clive went missing in 2002. People knew him as Scott. He was last seen in North Shields around 11 pm on October 10th. He was 30 years old then, having moved from Stranraer in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
His family reported him missing, prompting police to start a murder investigation, even without a body. Northumbria Police made arrests on Saturday based on “new information,” apprehending two men in their 40s and 50s, along with one woman in her 40s.
Last summer, police arrested a 49-year-old in connection to the case. He is one of the three arrested now. The police gave an update on Monday, confirming the three arrested people were bailed while awaiting further inquiries.
Police are searching a location near Coronation Street in North Shields. Mr. Clive visited there the night he disappeared. Detective Inspector Mark Atherton, who leads the case, wants answers for Scott’s family.
