Danny’s changes to Muswells, dropping Sky Sports due to costs. Expect varied entertainment and community focus.

They will still show some sports; Rugby Six Nations games will be on, along with selected Premier League and Champions League games. The bar will be more of a “classic bar,” offering broader entertainment.
The owners are dropping Sky Sports because price increases made it too expensive, with costs reaching an unrealistic level. The bar’s core values will remain, and the staff will still be the same.
The owner, Jon Jordan, spoke about finances; income versus expenses didn’t make sense anymore. They will still show many games, but they just won’t have Sky Sports.
The new bar will have food and drinks, and live bands will play music. They plan DJ nights and themed events. TNT Sports will provide some games after Sky ends, offering fewer games overall.
The name change was deemed necessary to reflect the new direction of the bar. Names carry specific images, Jordan stated, and Danny’s is known as a sports bar, so Muswells helps them separate from that image.
Danny’s was named after Jordan’s grandfather, and this change was difficult and personal. He thinks this change is for the best, and Danny’s will always be meaningful to him; he carries that legacy forward.
Muswells refers to old Banbury venues. The bar will open daily at 10am, and darts and a pool table will still be available. They plan to extend their community work and will partner with local charities.
