Risca welcomes a new banking hub replacing the closed Barclays, offering services for multiple major banks clients.

It’s for customers of many big banks, including NatWest, Halifax, Santander, Lloyds, HSBC, and Barclays. Think of it like a shared bank branch. Anyone can use the hub.
The Post Office runs a counter there where you can take out cash, deposit money, or pay bills. Need to talk to your bank’s staff? They have private spaces for consultations.
It’s the first hub like this in the area, giving people the opportunity to bank in person again. It’s open weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm and is run by Cash Access UK, a non-profit group funded by the banks.
Want to know when your bank is there? Barclays is there on Mondays, NatWest on Tuesdays, Halifax Wednesdays (9 am – 1 pm), and Santander Wednesdays (1 pm – 5 pm). Lloyds is there Thursdays, and HSBC is there Fridays.
The team has local ties to Risca, with someone’s mother even having worked at Barclays. They are glad the hub is open, as people can now access cash and in-person banking again. You can do everyday banking there every day, and community bankers help with complex issues on their specified days.
