Bar 11 got a makeover. SSP Group runs this bar, and now it is a modern spot where up to 330 people can enjoy food and drinks.

The work took twelve weeks, finishing just in time for February half-term. The bar offers many food choices including breakfast, all-day meals, and kids’ menus.

On the menu, you can find classic dishes like pie or fish and chips. They also have a big breakfast roll, as well as peri-peri chicken skewers.

For those seeking vegetarian or plant-based options, they have dishes without gluten ingredients. Consider trying the cauliflower curry, or the plant-based garden breakfast.

They also have treats, including a Millie’s cookie such as the classic milk chocolate chip cookie.

The bar features new wooden walls and murals depicting Northeast landmarks, creating an elegant interior.

You can choose from booths and tables with big windows showcasing airfield views.

Airport staff and SSP celebrated the bar’s reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Newcastle Airport is happy about Bar 11’s refreshed look. They know it’s popular. It is now a vibrant, family-friendly space where people can relax before their flights.

SSP UK & Ireland values its Newcastle partnership. Bar 11’s update is their latest investment; they also opened Aster & Thyme last year.

Other brands like Starbucks and Burger King are also available, giving passengers many choices.

Seven local authorities own 51% of the airport. The remaining 49% is owned by InfraBridge.

The airport received awards, including “best in the world” in 2024. They earned “Best Airport” again, for airports with fewer passengers, with the magazine calling it less stressful.
