Bays Brewery unveils Evergreen, a new charity beer collaboration with Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust. Proceeds aid local conservation.

‘Evergreen’ comes in bottles, boxes, and casks, featuring fruit and citrus aromas. These scents represent wildlife and capture Devon’s wild spaces, which the TCCT works hard to protect.
You can buy it online at Bays’ shop and Occombe Farm Shop. Some pubs and bars in Devon also sell it, with five percent of sales going to the Trust to aid their conservation work.
This limited-edition beer is a second effort, as Bays Brewery and TCCT previously collaborated on ‘Beery Head’ golden ale back in 2023. ‘Evergreen’ is now available for purchase.
Bays Brewery’s director, Peter Salmon, said they are excited to work with TCCT again. He added that “Evergreen” celebrates local natural spaces. Supporting causes is important to them, and every purchase aids TCCT’s work.
Helen Warren, CEO of Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust, said they are delighted with the funds, and their shop at Occombe Farm stocks the beer. She suggested enjoying a local beer and helping green spaces.
They rely on funding to care for Torbay, including Berry Head and Cockington Park. The preserved spaces are vital habitats. Warren ended with “Cheers!” to great beer, noting that ‘Evergreen’ supports a great cause.
This brewery plans four charity brews for 2025, each aiding a different cause. Their second beer is called ‘Claw’, a copper-colored pale ale.
‘Claw’ supports Paignton Zoo and is an “animal ale” with a fierce flavor. The third beer launches in July, and ‘Ahoy’ is a golden ale that supports Torbay Lifeboats.
In November, ‘Jingle Ale’ returns as a hoppy bitter. ‘Jingle Ale’ will support Children’s Hospice South West.
