Christopher Nunn, age 42, runs the Wine Vaults Bar. Police arrested him there on October 10, 2023. He went to Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today. They charged him with fraud, theft, and handling criminal property. Nunn lives in Meadow Gardens, Beccles.

Nunn did not enter a plea for any charge, and there are three charges against him.

The fraud charge involves UK Top Sellers. It says Nunn falsely claimed to trade as them between March 2019 and September 2023. He allegedly sold LexisNexis books on Amazon, with the prosecution claiming he did this to make money.

The theft charge also spans March 2019 to September 2023. It alleges Nunn stole LexisNexis books, with their value exceeding £300,000.

The third charge relates to criminal property. It alleges he hid or moved money from early 2017 to September 2023. The money allegedly passed through his bank accounts.

The prosecutor, Sarah Dawes, spoke. She said the offences needed planning and called the criminality sustained. Dawes stated the alleged offences showed high culpability.

Magistrates agreed on the case’s seriousness and sent it to Ipswich Crown Court. The next hearing is on March 10th.

LexisNexis is a specialist publisher. Their books cover law and tax and cost between £100 and £1,000 each.

Nunn and Lynsey Wickham-Nunn now run Wine Vaults. They took it over in November 2022, after the previous owners retired after twelve years.
