Barrington House earns a “very good” rating from the Care Inspectorate, highlighting staff care and resident well-being.

The home earned high marks for how they really support people’s well-being. The staff also got praised a lot. Inspectors said the staff showed real care and seemed passionate about their work.
At the time, Barrington House cared for six people. The inspectors watched the staff interact and saw kind and caring moments. The staff clearly knew people well, and people seemed happy to see them.
Residents felt at ease talking to the staff. Staff involved people in choices and valued their feelings and ideas. Residents met regularly to plan meals and discuss activities.
Inspectors noted that staff felt supported, and that management was approachable. Staff had supervision and team meetings, which helped them share feedback. Training opportunities were plentiful for staff, who could train online or in person.
Specialized training helped them meet needs, and staff also took autism courses to better understand residents. Staff felt positive about the team and said they worked well together. The inspection was a surprise and happened January 14th and 15th.
