Elizabeth Bland, 67, skydived to raise £850 for the Great North Air Ambulance after a prior jump in 2014.

This wasn’t her first jump for charity. In 2014, she jumped in the Lake District from 14,000 feet. She raised £500 for the same air ambulance.
Her friend’s daughter had an accident and broke her leg, needing an airlift to the hospital. This made Elizabeth want to raise money for the air ambulance.
She said the first jump made her nervous, but she felt calm for the second. Elizabeth just did it without overthinking and might jump again this year, choosing the Lake District again.
Her husband, Alan Bland, also helps support the air ambulance. He enjoys competing in car rallies and works to support the charity too.
Alan went to the Isle of Mull in 2017 and competed in the Mull Targa Rally. He raised £1,700 for GNAAS through sponsorships and donations. He also won an award for community work.
Elizabeth said they like to help the air ambulance by emptying charity boxes and attending local country shows. They want to do everything possible for them and she thanked everyone who gave money.
