North Wales had lively nightlife once. Places like Peppers and Scott’s thrived. Styles in Deeside were also popular.

A photo appeared on Facebook. It reminded people of Bentleys nightclub. This club existed in Mold long ago, sitting above Lloyds Bank on High Street.

Bentleys hosted the Miss Mold competition in 1986. The event brought glamour to the town. People shared memories after seeing club photos.

Helen Evans worked there briefly. Gail Roberts Challoner went on Wednesdays and still worked at 7am. “Great times,” she recalled.

Debbie Daniels had strong memories. She noted that cameras weren’t as common then. Sue Rush enjoyed many nights there.

Cathy Caudwell first went there after moving to the area. Wenna Ellis met her husband at Bentleys. Sandra Bellis’ sister also found love there.

Moira Owen loved it in the 80s and cried when the club closed. Some fondly remembered under 18s nights.

Suzanne Elizabeth George and Sue Carus enjoyed those nights. Emma Baker also loved them. Lee Chamberlain never got in; it closed when he turned 18.
