It ranked eighth for history and culture overall, and sixth for natural wonders. Berkshire achieved the number one rank in luxury. They got second place for peace and quiet.
The report highlights Berkshire’s fancy things, mentioning Windsor Castle and Ascot races as examples. Bray boasts many Michelin-starred restaurants. However, smaller joys also contribute to its appeal. Walks on the Thames Path are a great activity, and designer finds are available in Eton’s shops. Stanlake Park vineyard produces bubbly, adding another luxurious element.
Berkshire provides access to enjoyment of fine living and good connectivity. Roads and trains offer efficient transportation options. The county has earned eight Michelin stars, and two hotels boast five AA stars. The Boathouse at Boulters Lock was recognized as the best pub.
During the summer, this pub is a popular choice where you can enjoy G&Ts. It is situated on an island in the Thames. Geese and swans provide some company while you’re there, and it’s located near a stretch of the Thames Path.
