Businesses vote to renew Better Bankside for five years, securing £14 million for improvements in the Bankside area.

Big names, including Tate Modern, Borough Market, and Shakespeare’s Globe, supported them. Over half of businesses voted, with ninety-one percent favoring Better Bankside’s plan. This vote secures £14 million for Bankside.
They will use the money well. Plans include boosting the economy, improving green spaces, and creating community opportunities. Support has grown since the group started in 2004.
Seventy-five percent voted for them then. Eighty-six percent voted yes in 2009, and in 2014, eighty-eight percent backed them. The new term starts on April 1 and will last from 2025 to 2030. They will plan projects with members.
Better Bankside’s chair, Donald Hyslop, is happy. He says Bankside has changed a lot and is now a lively part of London. It still feels unique, though, attracting many businesses and visitors.
