Road at Europa Park Industrial Estate closes February 10-23 for Thames Water pipe upgrades, impacting Bexley traffic.

This pipe work helps upgrade Bexley’s water. They will install 3.6 km of pipeline. The project aims to secure our future water. They’re working slowly, about 100 meters at a time.
Expect some traffic problems from this work. They will have detours set up for cars. You can still walk on the footpaths, though. Thames Water wants to keep driveway access open.
Thames Water knows closures cause issues like this and said sorry for any problems made. They will tell you if they work on your street. The whole thing runs from 2024 to 2027.
Bexley needs better water soon anyway. New homes and businesses are coming, and water use could jump way up by 2050. The current pipes cannot handle that much. Thames Water thinks this new pipeline is key.
The work impacts a few roads around town. Beechfield Road and Lesney Park are ongoing, and they’re working there until September 2025. Also, plan for issues on Colyers Lane, Victoria Road, Avenue Road, and Bexley Road, too.
