Bicester Fire Station shared some pictures on Facebook. The Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service made the post.

The photos showed a damaged Range Rover. It looked like the car crashed into the median. Firefighters were putting out burning trees, using a hose to stop the flames.

The fire service said Bicester had a busy week. They responded to crashes, alarms, hazardous materials, and fires.

Firefighters always help, day or night. They balance work plus other jobs. Most firefighters have two jobs. Bicester is growing but needs more firefighters.

The fire service described the on-call station. People can ask firefighters about their jobs and learn about the hiring process. It is a paid position, not volunteer. Applicants must be at least 18 years old; there is no maximum age.

People can visit drill nights on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm to ask questions and meet the crew. Alternatively, they can send a message, or email Coral.Hollis@oxfordshire.gov.uk.
