Bicester is asking for feedback on plans to improve cycling and walking paths connecting key areas. Survey is open now.

Oxfordshire County Council worked with bike groups and planned a new cycleway and better walking paths. This is for London Road (A41), which runs between Launton Road and Rodney House Roundabout.
London Road links Bicester’s center to new areas, including Graven Hill, Wretchwick Green, and Symmetry Park. It also links to Ambrosden and Arncott.
Cyclists will be separated from cars to encourage all cyclists, even beginners. This makes cycling safer for everyone.
Plans include a new two-way cycleway on London Road’s west side, between Ploughley Road and Launton Road. The cycleway will connect to existing layouts at Rodney House and Pioneer Roundabouts.
New pavement sections will make walking easier, while new zebra crossings will help walkers and cyclists. London Road’s speed limit will change and extend to Rodney House Roundabout, currently south of Talisman Road. This improves safety at crossings.
The government’s Active Travel Fund funds this project, which got grants in 2022 for better paths. The consultation ends March 18th at 11:59 pm.
