Digbeth still preps for St Patrick’s Day fun. A festival at Nortons will feature music and culture. Festivities will proceed!

Nortons Digbeth will host a festival, starting March 7 and lasting until March 17, 2025. The festival explores Irish culture, community, and heritage.
Birmingham’s parade got postponed because organizers couldn’t guarantee safety in 2025. Despite this, Digbeth will still be lively, and celebrations will still happen there.
Nortons has many events planned, including Irish music, Gaelic classes, and an Irish dance show. Sports fans can see Six Nations games and Cheltenham races. A “green tie ball” starts it all on March 7.
Whiskey and beer tastings are available; you can book a guided Irish whiskey tour or enjoy a ‘Church End Brewery’ beer tasting. Nortons also offers a Guinness masterclass.
Nortons will hold a St Patrick’s Day mass in their ‘back room’ venue on March 17, the holiday itself.
Peter Connolly, owner of Nortons Digbeth, said the festival is a Birmingham favorite. It welcomes all communities, offering ten days of culture in a safe and friendly atmosphere. Nortons loves the Irish Quarter. They work with other venues there to highlight what the area offers, especially during St Patrick’s.
Connolly invites everyone to visit, explore Irish culture, and celebrate heritage and hospitality. He asks you to share Irish identity at Nortons, as they partner with other groups all year.
The parade’s cancellation affected businesses, so the Irish Quarter venues are working together to attract more visitors. This period is usually their busiest time. Many venues support the campaign, including The Anchor, Autobrew, The Big Bull’s Head, Cleary’s, and The Fountain. Hennessey’s, The Mockingbird, Nortons, The Old Crown, Redcorc, and The Spotted Dog will help too.
The pubs will provide a map, available digitally and in print, to find venues. They will share news, special events, and offers.
