The Sciortino family, owners of Kesgrave Kitchen, acquired The Black Tiles and plan renovations for a summer opening.

The family has managed Kesgrave Kitchen for five years now. They bought The Black Tiles outright and want local breweries to be involved with the pub. This is their first time taking over a pub. Kesgrave Kitchen happened unexpectedly.
The family mentioned staff helping at both locations. Nicola Calvert manages Kesgrave Kitchen and, according to Mr. Sciortino, does an amazing job. She will also assist at The Black Tiles. They are ready for this new challenge.
Richie Warren will manage The Black Tiles. They are searching for a good head chef and plan to keep the pond and play area. They will renovate the inside before summer.
The family appreciates the Black Tiles’ importance. They are excited about this new adventure and emphasize that they are a local Kesgrave family. Community support at Kesgrave Kitchen gave them confidence.
The pub closed last February. It never recovered from Covid losses. The cost of living also hurt the business.
