Hey, listen to this story I read. Two big fights happened in town the other day. They occurred on Blackwood and Newbridge High Streets. This all happened in the early afternoon.

Police arrested eight men from south Wales. These men are from Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport, and Pontypool. Police think both incidents are linked somehow. They said officers will stay in the area for a while.

Gwent Police are looking into violent acts from February 13. They went to Blackwood around 2:45 PM. Then, they went to Newbridge around 2:55 PM. Four injured men went to the hospital.

Three of those men left the hospital already. However, one man still needs treatment there. Police say no one has injuries that are too serious. Eight guys were arrested for violent acts, and they’re still in custody right now.

The police think the fights are connected. They want to clarify it isn’t a trend. Officers will be around if locals have any questions. Police want to hear from people with information.
