The Blarney Golf Society raised £2,625 for Young Lives vs Cancer as one of their chosen charities for 2024, honoring a past member.

The society has played golf for over twenty years and began fundraising fourteen years ago. It started to honor a past member.
Andy Lane picked Young Lives vs Cancer this year. His great niece, Freya, had cancer at age two and sadly passed away in July 2024.
The charity helped Freya’s parents, Lisa and Tom. Clare, their social worker, gave support, providing emotional and practical help. They also got financial assistance.
The society collected money through an event by charging entrance fees. Raffle tickets were sold for donated prizes.
Liz Blunt works for Young Lives vs Cancer. She expressed her gratitude to the society, noting the money aids social workers like Clare and helps Jean’s House near the hospital, assisting families in need.
