A damaged gas main in Thurston left around 60 homes without gas. Bloor Homes has apologised for the incident.

Bloor Homes Eastern is super sorry about it. They said a contractor caused the problem at their new housing site.
The gas company, Cadent, sent out an alert around 4 PM. It warned people about the gas outage and said it was due to damage.
Bloor Homes is building 210 homes there, and the break happened on Beyton Road. They know about the 60 homes affected.
Cadent is taking care of everything, as they are the gas people for that area. They are going door-to-door to check on people and figure out what folks need. Then, they give them help. Bloor Homes says “sorry” again for the trouble the gas break makes.
Bloor Homes wants people to talk to Cadent, as they have a team on site handling it. Bloor Homes thanked everyone for understanding and said they will share updates later.
