The body turned up in Teesdale just after 9:30 AM. While formal identification is pending, they informed Jenny’s family about the discovery. Officers are assisting the family, who have requested privacy.
Police do not believe the circumstances are suspicious and will prepare a file for the coroner. A large police search commenced after her disappearance. Her car, a red Ford Focus, was found on Wednesday on the B6278.
The car was located near moorland between Eggleston and Stanhope. Mountain rescue teams, drones, and dogs searched the area, including Hamsterley Forest. They focused on nearby running trails, and experts examined her phone, watch, and running apps.
