Two individuals are charged after a Borehamwood stabbing that led to attempted kidnap charges.

Someone got stabbed in the leg. This happened outside Shenwood Court on Green Street around 6:18 pm on Monday, February 17. The injuries were not life-threatening.

Police made one arrest that day and another arrest yesterday. Mark Jennings and Cheryl Fawcett face charges of attempted kidnap. Police confirmed this information today.

Mark Jennings, 64, lives on Thrift Green, Brentwood. Cheryl Fawcett, 36, resides at Beech Drive, Borehamwood. They appeared in Hatfield Remand Court this morning, February 20. Both are in custody now.

Jennings and Fawcett go to court again at St Albans Crown Court. The hearing is on March 17. Detective Sergeant Yaser Khan, from the Hertsmere local crime unit, leads the investigation.

Khan thanks Hertsmere residents for the useful information they gave officers. He wants anyone else with info to contact him via email. The arrests should reassure people, and police are still investigating actively.
