Durham Council greenlights a dog grooming studio in Bowburn, ensuring minimal impact on residents.

Good news! Durham council gave the okay early in March. They’re changing the garage door to a window. Brick will fill the space below to match her house. A door will connect the garage to the hall. Another door goes to the house’s right side.
They’re keeping the three existing parking spots. Local peeps worried about enough parking space. The road people checked it. They said okay. But, she needs a special curb for extra parking. Health folks are watching noise. They want to keep neighbors happy. Only one person commented, with no formal support or worries.
The council thought changes were small. Changes must fit the house’s style. Rules exist to reduce neighbor problems. These rules limit work hours. Also, one furry client visits at a time! They are building another parking spot to aid traffic.
The build must start within three years. She can only groom four dogs each weekday. Saturdays are short days. Only one dog is allowed inside at any given time. Grooming visits need advance booking. No dog sleepovers are permitted.
Hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Saturday hours are 9 am to noon. She must use special paving for the drive. This helps water drain properly. She needs a permit to change the driveway.
The approval only counts for Mrs. Stacey. If she leaves, it’s just a house again.
