Bracknell’s Harvester gets a revamp, Wokingham barns become homes, tree felling denied, and a signal box to be demolished.

The Horse and Groom pub in Bracknell will get fixed up. Bracknell Forest Council approved the plans. The pub is on Bagshot Road and will have new lights. They are also adding a conservatory roof, and interior decorations will be changed.
The pub is near the trampoline center and the sports center. Boyer Planning got permission on February 14. Work start dates remain unknown.
Stokes Farm in Wokingham can change buildings. Wokingham Borough Council said yes to the plan. They will turn five barns into homes that are now used for farming. The homes will have one to three bedrooms and be accessible from Binfield Road.
Another road from the West provides access. The council approved these plans on February 12.
Bracknell Forest Council refused to cut down some trees with protection orders. The applications came from Old Well Heights, Sandhurst; Bodens Ride, Ascot; and Toogood Place, Warfield.
Sandhurst trees visually separate homes. There was no evidence the trees were unhealthy. The Ascot tree was healthy, and Warfield trees are structurally sound.
A railway signal box will be torn down at the Wokingham train station. Wokingham Borough Council does not need to approve it. Network Rail will demolish the 91-year-old box and plans to remove equipment outside it.
The box is not used anymore. The demolition is set for March to August 2025. Network Rail notified the council earlier this month.
