Bradford & Airedale Citizens Advice leads the effort, working with local groups like the Girlington Centre. Age UK and Equality Together also help. They aim to aid pensioners.

These events will check for extra benefits. Pensioners might qualify for more money, like Attendance Allowance or Housing Benefit.

You can attend these events in February. The first one is on February 12 at Great Horton Community Hub & Library from noon to 4 PM. Another follows on February 26 at BEAP Community Partnership, running from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Refreshments will be available for free, and you can enjoy some cake.

Richard Wilkinson spoke about unclaimed money. Many pensioners in West Yorkshire miss support, and Pension Credit unlocks other perks too. A free TV license is possible, and the Winter Fuel Payment also helps, worth almost £500 together.

Rubina Burhan talked about hesitation. People avoid benefits due to stigma, but she stated these funds belong to them. Drop in, everyone is welcome; at worst, you get cake and drinks.

The Girlington Centre has weekly sessions. These help those 65 and older, offering both fun and advice.
