A Braintree pet groomer celebrates the upgrade to the grooming shop with an open day featuring treats for pets and owners.

They groom all kinds of animals. Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits visit. Jo van Zanten runs the grooming business. She gives animals luxury treatment.
Jo used to be a police officer. She started with just dog grooming. She groomed at home during the lockdown. Now, she grooms many types of pets. She wants to celebrate the shop’s upgrade and to thank her loyal customers. She hopes to keep helping pets in the future.
Jo thinks police work helped her a lot. It prepared her to run her own place. She enjoys being a groomer now because she started training and she loved it. Gaining trust with scared dogs is rewarding.
Jo cares about pets’ feelings and health. Their well-being is above making them pretty. Jo helps a dog rescue often. ‘Love Underdogs’ is based in Waltham Abbey. They bring Romanian rescue dogs to her, and she grooms them for free.
She really loves helping the rescue and is passionate about nervous dogs. She is having an open day soon for her clients. Guests can have tea, coffee, or prosecco. Pets can have special pup treats there. The event is on February 23, from 1 PM to 4 PM at unit 20-21 on Springwood Drive.
